PayPal (PYPL) and NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) both filed 8-K Item 2.02 disclosures with the SEC, revealing their quarterly results. Both companies also included detailed financial exhibits under Item 9.01.

Korean Company Earnings

SK Hynix announced Q2 operating profit of $41.6B, up 557.2% year-over-year. According to Korean media outlets including Maeil Business Newspaper, expanded sales of HBM and eSSD chips drove the results. Revenue came in at roughly $54.5B, with an operating margin around 76%, marking a new quarterly record.

However, some outlets including Nate reported that the results fell short of market expectations, with operating profit coming in roughly $2.7B below consensus forecasts. SK Hynix's cumulative first-half revenue surpassed $90.0B, while first-half operating profit came in near $68.7B.
