AIKey Summary
  • Aidoc has raised $150 million in a Series E round backed by NVIDIA's NVentures, bringing total funding to $370 million
  • The clinical AI platform aims to scale from 45 million to 100 million patients annually within three years, leveraging 18 FDA-cleared algorithms and its CARE foundation model

Aidoc, an Israel-based clinical AI platform company, has raised $150 million in a Series E funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $370 million.

General Catalyst and Square Peg co-led the round. NVIDIA's (NVDA) venture capital arm, NVentures, also participated as a strategic investor. Notably, four major U.S. health systems — Hartford HealthCare, Mercy, Sutter Health, and WellSpan Health — joined as direct investors.

CARE Foundation Model Accelerates Indication Development by Up to 20x

The proceeds will be deployed to accelerate development of Aidoc's core technology, CARE (Clinical AI Reasoning Engine) — a healthcare-specific foundation model designed to support physicians' clinical decision-making. Two CARE-based solutions have already received FDA clearance. Aidoc stated that CARE enables the development of new clinical indications up to 20 times faster than conventional approaches.

Also noteworthy is the aiOS platform — an open ecosystem that allows health systems to deploy and manage not only Aidoc's proprietary models but also third-party AI solutions. Currently, 69% of Aidoc's customers are running third-party models through aiOS.

Target: 100 Million Patients Annually

Aidoc currently supports 45 million patients per year and aims to scale that figure to 100 million within three years. The company has over 150 partner health systems and 18 FDA-cleared algorithms, and is combining high-performance computing with its AI platform through strategic partnerships with NVIDIA and AWS.
